Video Transcript: Jessica Talks About How She and Her Classmates Motivate Each Other in AP Calculus My name is Jessica and I'm a senior. This year I'm taking AP Calc and AP Lit. I wasn't really that great at math, and then I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I mean, if you ever have trouble, you can obviously ask your friends or people around you. There are times where we're like, "What? What did we just learn?" And so sometimes I'll be that person who raises their hand and goes, "How did you get that answer? Why is it like that?" We're questioning things, you know. We actually have a study group. The day before the test, there's a group of us and we always go to my friend's house and we all help each other. We go over the problems that we had during the week, and we catch up during that time, too. It's really awesome. It's incredible because we all want to do good. It's more comforting knowing that you're all in the same boat and you have another person who's like, "Don't worry, you got this. I did it, you can do it too." It's very motivating. You're gonna feel so great about yourself, the fact that you passed the class, and you're like, I accomplished this. I'm 17-18 years old and did this class and accomplished it. It's really amazing to know that.
